There is something that happens when everyone stays on site. It is difficult to describe until you have experienced it — but most people who have will tell you it is the part they remember most. Not the ceremony, not the dinner, not the dancing.

The moment on Sunday morning when they realise there is nowhere to be, no taxi to catch, no rush — just the people they love, still here, in the same place, in the same light.

At Domaine de Christin, staying on site is not an afterthought. It is part of the design. 101 sleeping places are distributed across the historic estate in five stone-built Provençal cottages, seven hotel studios and a large loft apartment — all steps from the reception spaces, all restored to a high standard of comfort, all included within the exclusive use of the estate for your event.

For those who need more space, two contemporary villas set within the estate’s own olive grove — eight kilometres from the main estate, connected by a shuttle on event nights — add a further 30 sleeping places, bringing the total to 131.

Every accommodation on the estate is managed independently. No staff on site, no reception desk, no scheduled breakfast. You arrive, you settle in, you make the place your own. The keys are handed over when you arrive. The linen is made up. The rest is yours.

WHAT STAYING TOGETHER ACTUALLY MEANS

When your guests sleep on the estate, the weekend changes shape. Friday evening becomes the beginning of something — not just a check-in, but an arrival. People who haven’t seen each other in years find each other on the terraces. Children discover the animal garden before dinner. Someone opens a bottle under the olive trees, and the evening starts without anyone having planned it.

On the morning after — Sunday, for most weddings — the estate is still full. The brunch table is long. The conversations that the noise of a wedding night never quite allowed finally happen. The couple appears, still slightly dazed, and finds everyone still there. This is the gift that staying together gives, and it cannot be replicated any other way.

There are no strangers on the estate during your event. Every person sleeping here is someone you invited. Every door that opens onto the courtyard belongs to your group. The estate is private, enclosed, entirely yours — from Friday morning to Monday morning, with the option to extend.

THE STONE COTTAGES — “GÎTES DE CHARME”

Five cottages are built into the historic stonework of the estate’s original farmhouse
— walls that are, in some places, several centuries old. Each has been carefully restored : the stone kept, the comfort added, the character preserved. They are rated three stars under the French Meublés de Tourisme classification, which in practice means full kitchens, quality bedding, air-conditioned bedrooms, private terraces and enclosed gardens.

They are not identical — each has its own layout, its own character, its own outdoor space. What they share is a sense of quiet solidity, the kind that comes from old stone and thick walls and the particular silence of the Languedoc countryside at night.

Les Pins — up to 15 guests

The largest of the five cottages, Les Pins spreads across two floors and approximately 140 square metres. Four air-conditioned bedrooms, three of them family-configured with combinations of double and single beds, sleep up to 15 in comfort. A large open-plan living and dining area leads directly to a private terrace and enclosed garden. The kitchen is fully equipped — dishwasher, washing machine, induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee maker, the lot.

Les Pins suits large family groups, multi-generational gatherings, or the inner circle of a wedding party who want to be together under one roof.

Les Vignes — up to 15 guests, including wheelchair access

Also 140 square metres across two floors, Les Vignes mirrors Les Pins in scale but adds something important: a ground-floor bedroom with an adapted en-suite bathroom, designed for guests with reduced mobility. The remaining three bedrooms are family-configured and air-conditioned. The large living room opens onto a private terrace with pergola, barbecue and enclosed garden.

Les Vignes is the right choice when accessibility matters — and when it matters, it matters completely.

Les Oliviers — up to 10 guests, single storey

The only single-storey cottage on the estate, Les Oliviers covers 85 square metres and sleeps up to 10. Three air-conditioned bedrooms plus a sleeping area with a sofa bed. No stairs anywhere. The living room opens directly onto a large enclosed garden with shaded terrace — one of the most generous outdoor spaces of any of the cottages. A good choice for families with young children, or for guests who prefer the ease of single-level living.

Les Lauriers Roses — up to 11 guests

Named for the oleander that borders its terrace, Les Lauriers Roses covers 80 square metres across two floors. Two air-conditioned bedrooms plus a sleeping area downstairs with two quality sofa beds. The living room opens onto a pergola-covered terrace with a garden salon and barbecue. The atmosphere is warm, the outdoor space generous, and the Mediterranean planting gives it a character all its own.

Les Daims — up to 9 guests

The most intimate of the five cottages, Les Daims covers 75 square metres on two floors. Three air-conditioned bedrooms — one double downstairs, two family rooms above — sleep up to 9. The living room opens onto a pergola terrace and enclosed garden. Compact, comfortable, well-equipped, and well-suited to smaller family groups or close friends who want their own space without excess.

THE HOTEL STUDIOS

Seven hotel studios are arranged along the estate’s historic buildings, each one independent, each one self-contained. They range in size from 14 to 32 square metres and sleep between 2 and 5 people, depending on the configuration. Most are on the first floor; one four-person studio is on the ground floor.

They were created from the estate’s original Provençal workers’ quarters — stripped back, rebuilt carefully, and furnished to three-star standard. Each has its own kitchenette, its own shower room, its own climate control. Each opens onto the shared terrace that runs along the historic facade, where outdoor tables, barbecues and garden chairs are available for all studio guests.

The studios work well for couples, small families, or individual guests who want their own front door and their own space within the larger group. They are practical without being impersonal — the stone walls and the setting do the rest.

LE LOFT — UP TO 15 GUESTS

Le Loft is the estate’s most flexible sleeping option — a large, luminous apartment built around a central 90-square-metre living space. A quality sofa bed and four low Japanese-style single beds in the main room. A separate dormitory with nine single beds. Two independent shower rooms with double basins. One fully equipped kitchen. One very large oval table.

It works for groups who want to be together — teams, families, wedding parties, friends who have travelled far. It works for those who don’t need privacy but do need comfort. The atmosphere is relaxed and open; the equipment is complete. Le Loft is available both for events and for independent private stays outside event periods.

THE CONTEMPORARY VILLAS — LE CLOS DES OLIVIERS

Eight kilometres from the main estate, set within the estate’s own olive grove at the edge of the Languedoc garrigue, two contemporary villas offer an entirely different kind of accommodation. Independent, spacious, and decidedly modern in style — they are a counterpoint to the historic stonework of the main estate, and they work.

When the villas are included in your event booking, a shuttle connects them to the main estate — at minimum on the Saturday night, so that no one misses the last dance or has to drive. When they are not needed, they are simply not included. The estate adapts to your group, not the other way around.

Villa L’Olivière — up to 15 guests

Four air-conditioned mini-suites, each with its own private bathroom and direct garden or terrace access. A 63-square-metre living room. A fully equipped kitchen.

Outside : a large swimming pool with more than 200 square metres of decking, a high-capacity barbecue, and a solarium with panoramic views.

The bedding throughout is premium — pocket sprung mattresses, slatted base frames.

Villa La Picholine — up to 15 guests

Three air-conditioned bedrooms, 11 permanent sleeping places plus 4 supplementary — 15 in total — two shower rooms with WC, generous storage, and the same quality of bedding and equipment as L’Olivière. Warm and functional — a comfortable house rather than a hotel room.

Both villas share the olive grove gardens, petanque, ping-pong, children’s play area and a solar shower. Both are managed independently, in the same self-catering spirit as the estate cottages.

 Villas are optional — included when needed, not when not. Shuttle available on event nights. Total capacity with villas : 131 sleeping places.

CAMPSITE AT THE FARM— LES PLATANES

For those who prefer canvas to stone, the estate’s farm campsite — Les Platanes — sits in the meadow under the shade of the plane trees. It is a small, human-scale site, suited to walkers, cyclists, horse riders, and anyone who genuinely prefers to sleep under the stars.

During events, the campsite is reserved exclusively for your guests — no outside visitors, no strangers. It connects naturally with the rest of the estate: the leisure facilities, the animal garden, the barbecue areas are all accessible to campsite guests. Facilities include hot showers, electric hook-ups, and access to a shared refrigerator, microwave and washing machine. Rates start from €25 per night for one person with tent, caravan or campervan ; €10 per additional person over three years ; horses welcome at €20 per night.
